As GA Foods employees, serving others is at the heart of what we do. We challenge ourselves to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.
GA Cares is a program for employees to join together to assist our coworkers in times of crisis. It is a program supported by GA Foods employees for GA Foods employees.
The assistance provided through GA Cares means much more than just financial relief to those employees who receive it. It also represents the caring and support of their fellow employees and the hope that life might soon return to normal.
What is GA Cares?
- The goal of GA Cares is simple; to help GA Foods employees who are experiencing hardships caused by natural or catastrophic disaster.
- GA Cares is an employee-run, employee-sponsored charity.
- All requests for assistance are kept confidential.
- GA Foods employees, vendors and the general public can make contributions to GA Cares.
The amount of each grant is determined by the GA Cares Committee, whose members are also GA Foods employees. The amount is determined by the need of the employee, the severity of the loss and the amount of funds available.
Contributions to GA Cares
The easiest way for team members to contribute to GA Cares is through payroll deduction. New employees can sign up during orientation through Human Resources. All other employees can complete a GA Cares payroll deduction authorization form through Human Resources or Payroll. Donations to GA Cares can be made at any time. Participation can be made through automatic payroll deductions or by sending a personal check.
One time contributions are welcome and can also be made by vendors and the general public! Checks can be made payable to GA Foods and sent to:
